Headteacher's welcome

Welcome to Huncoat Primary School.

Huncoat Primary is a friendly, caring school where every child is important, loved and cared for as an individual.

The staff work very hard and encourage all children to achieve to their best in everything they do. As a team we encourage children to try, do their best and never give up so each child can achieve 'great successes'. The school's values and ethos have been developed by the whole school and we fulfil these Values through our commitment to the children and families of Huncoat Primary at all times.

The children are amazing - friendly, polite and love learning and the school is filled with laughter and the buzz of this happiness and learning can be seen each and every day in all they do.

If you are looking for a place for your child, please come and see all the wonderful things that we do, the hard working, well behaved children and the great atmosphere we have here due to the hard work of both the staff and the children. We are proud of our 'Open Door' policy here and love welcoming new families and faces into our school.

Please enjoy our website which has lots of information about the school and of course is a celebration of learning. Thank you

 Headteacher: Mrs R Dickinson

At Huncoat Primary School we seek to create a positive

learning community for all our pupils where everyone can achieve and be the best they can be.

Our School Values

We have a set of seven School Values that are at the heart of all we do, our learning, our behaviour and our empathy.

These Values underpin all we respect and strive for in each and every member of our team.

The values we promote across the school community are :

Caring, Respecting, Responsibility, Honesty, Determination, Cooperation and Appreciation

Pupils, parents, governors and staff at Huncoat work in partnership to provide every pupil with the highest quality education. All children are given the opportunities, challenges and experience to enable them to be confident and informed members of the community and citizens of the future.

The school was last inspected by Ofsted in July 2017. The school was judged to be good in all areas.

Ofsted reports and other information is available on the Key Information page on this site.
