Take a look at a few of the things we do at Huncoat Primary School that we are proud of...
Year 2 Victorian Christmas
Year 2 had an amazing experience at Gawthorpe Hall for a Victorian Christmas.
They learnt all about 'Stir up Sunday' and where all the ingredients for a traditional pudding came from in a real Victorian Kitchen.
They also met a 'Traditional Father Christmas' - he showed them what he left in stockings all those years ago: oranges, apples, coal, a penny, marbles and he read them 'Twas the Night Before Christmas'
Edith loves her bees and wants to be a Bee Keeper - on World of Work day she came dressed up as a Bee Keeper and brought everyone some honey in her class! This is wonderful Edith!
Well done to Jenson in year 5!
Accrington Stanley sent a poetry competition to all schools to write a poem about their club.
Jenson won first prize at Huncoat and was presented with a winning medal. The rest of the class were rewarded for their poems by Accrington Stanley.
If Jenson wins out of the whole of Accrington schools who entered, he will get to read his poem at the Match! We are very proud of all of year 5 and Jenson!

We thought about different elements and aspects that make the UK such as British values, the Queen, armed forces and the NHS. We worked with our shoulder partners to compose some lyrics and we had to think of lots of rhyming words. Mr Brown showed us his acoustic guitar, it was loud. However, he then showed us his electric guitar and it was SUPER LOUD!
He Performed a song called 'White man driver', it was AMAZING!
